A modified human albumin promoter with a tet responsive element drives expression of cre recombinase. In the same vector, expression of the tetracycline silencer, rtTA, is driven by the CMV promoter. In the absence of tetracycline, cre expression is repressed. In the presence of tetracycline cre expression is seen in the liver. Four founders were generated. (J:93624)
