This transgene consists of the Irs2 gene with a FLAG tag at the C terminus driven by the rat insulin II promoter. Two transgenes (lines 9 and 13) were analyzed based on expression level. This transgene expressed a high level of Irs2. Overexpression of the transgene was verified by Western blot analysis of islet extracts, immunostaining of pancreas and by an increase in the pancreatic insulin content. (J:94000)
