1196 bp of promoter sequence (-1152 to + 46) from the human TF gene were used to drive the expression of a CAT reporter gene. The transgene was expressed at high levels in the liver and brain, with brain levels being 10-fold higher than in the liver. Iron administration mice resulted in a significant decrease of transgene expression. (J:93006)
