A neo cassette was inserted into intron 2 in antisense orientation and a 110 bp segment of exon 3 was deleted resulting in a frameshift and formation of 3 stop codons via homologous recombination. RT-PCR showed the presence of two shorter transcripts and immunoblot results confirmed the absence of protein. (J:93156)
