Exon 1, containing the translational start site of the Pparg1 isoform, and part of exon 2, encoding the first zinc finger of the DNA binding domain, were replaced with a PGK-neo cassette. Both isoform 1 and 2 were disrupted by this event, as shown by lack of protein in Western blot of white adipose tissue. (J:92826)
