A cDNA encoding mouse interleukin 2 receptor beta lacking the carboxyl-terminal 131 amino acids - the H-region - of the extracellular domain of the mature protein was inserted into an expression vector containing 5 kb of 5' flanking sequence, including the promoter, transcription initiation site and first intron, and 5.5 kb of 3' flanking sequence including the locus control region (LCR) of the human CD2 gene. The CD2 promoter/enhancer direct expression in cells of the lymphoid lineage. (J:92915)
