A cDNA encoding mouse IL2RG lacking the carboxyl-terminal 48 amino acids of the 85-amino acid cytoplasmic domain was inserted into an expression vector containing 5 kb of 5' flanking sequence, including the promoter, transcription initiation site and first intron, and 5.5 kb of 3' flanking sequence including the locus control region (LCR) of the human CD2 gene. The transgene product was found to be expressed on CD4+ CD8+ thymocytes and on splenic and peripheral blood T lymphocytes. (J:92739)
