This transgene consists of 14 kb from the 5'-flanking region of the human AQP2 driving expression of a modified cre recombinase that includes an SV40 nuclear localization signal and an 11 amino acid herpes simplex virus glycoprotein D epitope tag. Cre expression is seen in the collecting ducts of the kidney, the vas deferens, and the testis including post-meiotic sperm. Paternal inheritance of this transgene results in ubiquitous cre mediated recombination. (J:52357)
