The protein-coding region containing the pro-, metalloprotease, disintegrin and cysteine rich domains were replaced with a neo via homologous recombination. Northern blot of mutant testes indicated lack of transcript and Western blot of testicular germ cells of mutants showed complete absence of the precursor form of the protein. (J:92271)
