A targeting vector was designed to delete 2.3 kb of exon one containing the ATG and encoding three of the five zinc finger motifs. A floxed neo replaced the sequence and was subsequently excised by crossing with mice expressing Cre in the germ line. Immunohistochemistry of mutant hindbrain samples showed no significant immunoreactivity. (J:92220)
