A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 9 and a FRT-flanked PGK-neo downstream, with a loxP site at the most 3'end. Crossing with Cre-deleter mice excised the floxed sequence, removing exon 9 and the neo. Exon 9 contains predicted active sites for an acyltransferase. (J:89228)
