A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 2, which contains the ATG, and an FRT flanked PGK-neo with a loxP site and lacZ downstream. Crossing with Cre deleter mice creates this allele in which exon 2 and the neo are excised, leaving a lacZ and single loxP. (J:89228)
