A GFP-taulacZ cassette was inserted downstream of the endogenous coding sequence to allow for coexpression of the gene and the markers. Southern blot confirmed recombination. Crossing with EIIa-Cre mice excised a floxed neo at the 3' end of the inserted cassette. (J:78878)
