Exon 5, the first exon common to all alternatively spliced transcripts, was disrupted by the insertion of a neo. Southern blot confirmed recombination and no wild-type or truncated transcripts were shown in Northern blot. Western blotting further confirmed lack of protein, truncated or full-length. (J:91590)
