Using a knock in strategy, FLAG-tagged Hand1 and a floxed neo were inserted into the Myl2 locus, replacing the coding sequence. Transient cre-mediated recombination excised the neo. Southern blot confirmed recombination and immunohistochemistry using an anti-FLAG antibody detected expression in cardio myocytes of mutant animals. (J:91082)
