A PGK-neo cassette replaced exons 8-10 via homologous recombination. Southern blot confirmed successful recombination. Immunoblotting of heterozygous mice indicated presence of the full-length protein only and not the predicted 226 amino acid long truncated protein, indicating that the mutation results in a null allele.
