Transient Cre expression in Tcrg-C1tm1.1Dhr ES cells, which already lack enhancer elements HsA and Ecgamma1, excised the floxed region containing Vgamma2, Vgamma4, Vgamma3, Jgamma1, Cgamma1. Knockout mice were identified using Southern blot and PCR analyses. In situ immuno-staining of skin sheets of mutants were nearly devoid of TCRgammadelta cells. Flow cytometric analysis also indicated absence of dendritic epidermal T cells. (J:91304)
