A floxed neo was introduced upstream of exon 7, and within exon 7 the C-terminal SSVS motif was changed to AAVA. Cre-mediated recombination excised the neo, leaving the mutated exon 7. Western blot of embryonic protein extracts indicated that mutant embryos showed similar levels of protein as that in wild-type. (J:90769)
