Exons 2 and 3, IgV and IgC, which encode the complete ectodomain of the protein, were replaced with a neo cassette. Southern blot confirmed recombination in mutant mouse tail DNA and RT-PCR indicated no transcript in thymus or spleen of mutant mice. Flow cytometry demonstrated no surface expression in mutant thymocytes. (J:90484)
