Homologous recombination results in the deletion of a 15 kb region from exon 3 of the Il13 locus to intron 3 of the Il4 locus. RT-PCR and ELISAs failed to detect any Il4 or Il13 mRNA in activated lymphocytes or protein in stimulated CD4+ T-cells. (J:89095)
