This transgenic construct contains the mouse cyclin D1 gene driven by the rat fatty acid binding protein promoter. Transgenic mice overexpress cyclin D1 in the liver and epithelial cells of the small intestine and colon. A lower level of expression occurs in the kidneys. This line carries 20-fold more transgene copies than the F2 line, which itself carries multiple transgene copies. (J:70394)
