A genomic fragment containing the endogenous exons 4 and 5 was replaced with a loxP flanked cassette containing exons 4, 5, and 6 followed by neo. A PGK promoter and EGFP were included 5' and 3' of the floxed region, respectively, such that recombination of the loxP sites will place EGFP under control of the PGK promoter. (J:86996)
