LoxP sites were inserted upstream of exon 3 and downstream of exon 6. In addition, an FRT flanked PGK-neo cassette was inserted in intron 6. The neomycin insertion resulted in underexpression of the gene (5-10% normal) as indicated by western blot analysis. (J:85344)
