Exons 7, 8, and 9 were flanked by a floxed puromycin selection cassette in intron 6 and a single loxP site in intron 9. Northern and Western blot analyses, as well as phenotypic analysis, indicated that this allele is hypomorphic. Further breeding of mice carrying this allele with cre transgenic mice led to the generation of Mdm2tm1.1Mep and Mdm2tm1.2Mep. (J:81065)
