Exon 4 which encodes the carboxy terminal of the gamma isoform was replaced with a single loxP site after a floxed neomycin selection cassette was excised via cre mediated recombination. RT-PCR analysis of homozygous mutant T cells identified transcript encoding the L isoform in the absence of transcript encoding the gamma isoform. (J:77507)
