A genomic fragment encompassing the entire coding region was replaced with a cassette containing IRES-lacZ and floxed neo. The deleted region extended from 56 bp upstream of the start codon to 297 bp downstream of the polyadenylation site. Transcript was undetected by RT-PCR analysis of homozygous mutant mice. (J:84536)
