A loxP-flanked neomycin selection cassette was inserted into intron 1, and a single loxP site was inserted into intron 3 by homologous recombination. RT-PCR analysis of RNA derived from homozygous mice demonstrated that the insertions had no effect on the normal expression of the gene. (J:57047)
