This allele was derived from Men1tm1Zqw by transfecting targeted ES cells with a Cre-expressing plasmid (pMC-Cre). The neo gene, TK gene, and exon 3 were then removed by Cre-mediated recombination. Western blot analysis demonstrated that no detectable protein product is expressed from this allele in mutant ES cells. (J:83882)
