The gene was disrupted by a knock-in vector consisting of a Pdgfra/tor fusion protein and a PGK-neo cassette. The fusion protein encodes the Pdgfra extracellular ligand binding domain fused to the cytoplasmic domain of the Drosophila torso gene. FACS analysis confirmed cell surface expression of the chimeric protein in embryonic fibroblasts. (J:83560)
