The gene was disrupted by replacement of exon 3 (comprising 86% of the coding region) with a neomycin resistance cassette via homologous recombination. Absence of gene expression was confirmed by RT-PCR analysis of RNA isolated from homozygous mutant embryos. (J:66529)
