A single loxP site was left in place of exon 2 following homologous recombination and in vitro cre-mediated excision in Pofut1tm2Pst. The deletion of exon 2 putatively results in a nonsense mutation in exon 3. Transcript was undetected in homozygous mutant embyros by whole-mount in situ hybridization. (J:83299)
