Exons 3 through 9 were flanked by an upstream floxed neomycin resistance cassette and a downstream single loxP site. Cre-mediated recombination in vivo under the control of a CMV promoter removed the neo cassette in the germline, leaving exons 3-9 flanked by loxP sites. (J:83191)
