The gene was disrupted by insertion of a neo-derived cassette into the region encoding the first 4 amino acids. The targeting construct includes a mouse immunoglobulin lambda 2 reporter sequence. Absence of gene expression in homozygous mutant animals was confirmed by RT-PCR analysis of mouse embryonic fibroblasts. (J:83172)
