Two coding exons were flanked with a floxed PGK-neo cassette and single loxP site via homologous recombination. The PGK-neo cassette was removed by transient expression of cre recombinase in correctly targeted ES cells. Resulting mutant animals carry loxP sites flanking 2 coding exons. (J:82911)
