Exon 2 was disrupted by a lacZ-neo cassette inserted by homologous recombination. Neither protein nor transcript was detected by RT-PCR and Western blot analysis of homozygous females and hemizygous males, though expression of lacZ was identified in mutant mice. (J:82505)
