A lacZ-neomycin resistance cassette replaced most of exon 2, which contains the entire DNA binding domain, and placed lacZ under control of the endogenous promoter. RNase protection assays of livers from postnatal day 8 mice detected no difference in mRNA levels between homozygous mutant mice and wild-type mice. (J:53312)
