The 5' UTR was disrupted by the insertion of a floxed PGK-neo cassette into exon 1 by homologous recombination. Real-time quantitative PCR analsysis of homozygous mutant mice showed reduced levels of transcript ranging from 20% to 80% of wild-type levels, depending on the organ. (J:82257)
