The gene was disrupted by replacement of exon 1 and exon 2 with a floxed PGK-neo cassette via homologous recombination. The targeted mutation results in deletion of a 1.1 kb of DNA including the promoter region. Absence of gene expression in homozygous mutant animals was confirmed by RT-PCR analysis of embryonic yolk sac RNA. (J:82296)
