The entire coding region was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette inserted by homologous recombination. FACS analysis indicated an absence of the endogenous protein on the surface of platelets obtained from homozygous mutant mice. Western blot analysis of platelet lysates confirmed the lack of protein in homozogotes. (J:58516)
