A 196 kb BAC carrying the human LIPG genomic sequence was used for the transgene. Transgene expression in brain, aorta, heart, lung, kidney, and spleen was confirmed by RNase protection assay. Transgene mRNA expression and protein expression was determined to be 3.2-fold and 1.9-fold that of endogenous mouse mRNA and protein expression, respectively. (J:81821)
