Sequence encoding the winged helix domain was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette by homologous recombination. The targeted sequence is common to both alpha- and beta- isoforms. RT-PCR analysis of homozygous mutant mice indicated an absence of transcript. Protein was undetected by immunohistochemical analysis. (J:62225)
