The gene was disrupted by replacement of nucleotides 1439-2436 with a neomycin resistance gene via homologous recombination. Gene expression was completely absent in homozygous mutant animals as determined by Western blot analysis. An antibody recognizing all proteins isoforms was used for Western blotting. (J:77339)
