This phenotypic mutant was identified in an ENU mutagenesis screen at The Oak Ridge National Laboratory. No mutation was found in coding sequences of this gene, suggesting that the mutation is in an unidentified exon or in regulatory elements, or that sequencing the heterozygous DNA did not reveal the responsible lesion.
