A single loxP site and a loxP-flanked neomycin selection cassette were inserted to flank the exon encoding the PIP-2 binding site. The neomycin selection cassette was removed by transient Cre expression in ES cells prior to the production of mice, leaving a single loxP element at the insertion site. (J:63744)
