The gene was disrupted by replacement of exon 1 with a PGK-neo cassette via homologous recombination. Absence of gene expression was confirmed by RT-PCR analysis of day E14.5 homozygous mutant embryos. Primers directed against the metalloprotease, disintegrin, cysteine-rich, and cytoplasmic domains did not detect any gene expression. (J:81009)
