The 243 bp exon encoding the DNA-binding domain was replaced by a single loxP site after cre mediated recombination within ES cells. A truncated protein, lacking the DNA-binding domain but retaining the downstream ligand-binding domain was detected by Western blot analysis of homozygous mutant mice. (J:80978)
