The gene was disrupted by replacement of the first 178 bp of coding sequences and 46 bp of upstream non-coding sequences with an IRES-lacZ-neo cassette via homologous recombination. Absence of gene expression in homozygous mutant animals was confirmed by RT-PCR analysis of thymus RNA. (J:80898)
