A transgenic construct was generated by inserting the Prnp open reading frame flanked by loxP sites into a cosmid vector. The regulatory sequences contained within cosmid CosSHaTet drove expression in the brain. Western blot analysis of of the founder line showed overexpression of Prp in brain tissue. (J:74652)
