A 1 kb mouse Ucp1 cDNA under the control of a rat Mylk2 promoter was used for the transgene. A human ALB intron and human GAPD termination and polyadenylation signal were added to the mouse sequence. RT-PCR analysis confirmed transgene expression in skeletal muscle and no other tissues examined. (J:65242)
