A dominant negative form of mouse Nfat5 consisting of only the binding domain (amino acids 267-543) was cloned into a human CD2 expression vector and used as the transgene. The CD2 promoter is active in the thymus and mature peripheral T lymphocytes. Western blot analysis confirmed transgene expression in the thymus and spleen. (J:80066)
